What data, and what for
Requesting samples. Your name, email address, phone number and address, and the samples you choose. We use them to send the samples and to help you choose a floor. If you choose a dealer, or we link your request to the dealer near you, that dealer receives your details so they can advise you. Legal basis: your request to us (performance of a contract).
Ordering in the web shop. Your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, your order and the payment status. We use them to process and ship your order and to keep you informed. Legal basis: performance of the sales contract, and for our records a legal obligation.
Contact and forms. What you fill in on the contact form, the dealer form or the dealer application. We use it to answer your question or assess your application. Legal basis: your request, or our legitimate interest in answering questions.
Newsletter. Only if you tick the box: your email address, to tell you about new collections and inspiration. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every email or by emailing us. Legal basis: your consent.
Visitor statistics. We measure how the site is used (which pages, which buttons) with OpenPanel, without cookies. OpenPanel does not know your name or email address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site.
Where requests come from. When you send a request or message through a form, we include how you arrived at the site: the campaign details in the link (such as UTM tags and the click ID of an ad from Google, Meta or Microsoft), the website that referred you, the page you landed on, the number of visits, and your OpenPanel visitor ID. This shows us which campaigns and pages lead to a request, and which pages you viewed before getting in touch. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in evaluating our marketing.
Meta Pixel. The site uses the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It sets cookies and sends data about your visit to Meta, so we can measure and target our advertising. Meta may combine this data with your Meta account. Meta also processes data outside the EU; the EU-US Data Privacy Framework applies to that.
Who we share data with
Only with parties we need in order to help you, and only what that party needs:
- Mollie, for payment in the web shop. Mollie processes your payment details itself; we only see whether the payment succeeded.
- Our shipping partner, to deliver your parcel or samples: name, address and, where needed, your phone number.
- Dealers, if you request a sample and choose a dealer or are linked to one.
- Our IT suppliers, for hosting the site and our systems and for sending email. We have agreements with them on keeping your data secure.
- Meta and OpenPanel, as described above.
We only pass on data beyond this if the law requires us to.
How long we keep data
- Orders: 7 years, as required by tax law.
- Sample requests and messages sent through forms: up to 2 years after your last contact with us.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
What is stored in your browser
To make the site work, we store a few things in your own browser: the samples you choose, your cart and your latest order (for the thank-you page). We also remember for 90 days how you arrived at the site (see “Where requests come from”). This data only leaves your browser when you send a request or place an order. You can clear it in your browser settings.
Your rights
You may ask us which data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or transferred. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and withdraw any consent you gave at any time. Email info@rivieramaisonflooring.com; we reply within one month.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.
Security
We protect your data with appropriate measures: encrypted connections, access only for those who need it, and suppliers who meet the same standards.
Changes
If we change anything in this policy, you will see it here, with the date of the latest change at the top.
